pundercracker replied to your post: why do people trash Southern Cross for being…
I’ll watch Southern Cross someday, prolly after Orguss but I’ll watch it and see what I think. ;w;
I’m beyond help w/my bias toward the show at this point in my life, but I’ll always maintain that it’s much better than viewers (especially Robotech-heads coming to it retooled) ever gave it credit for at the *very* least
and yeah I need to finish Orguss too c___c
pundercracker replied to your post: THOUGH OH MY GOODNESS IT JUST OCCURED TO ME who’s…
I’m pretty sure it’s the dude who did the Episode of Bardock and Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyan’s OVAs? I can’t think of his name at the moment though.
according to Kanzenshuu it’s Norihito Sumitomo (and it was Hiroshi Takaki who did those two specials), so it’s actually someone NEW doing the music :ooo
Presenting: Shin’ichi Ishihara does DBZ!
Gah you're so lucky to see Furukawa! ;v; C-Could you give him my regards? I'm a fan of many of his VA works! GAAAH darn it! We never get any Seiyuu 'round these parts! ;A;
ofc I will <3 if you want, I could try and swing getting you something autographed? (I have friends going who aren’t as ZOMG about Furukawa and could be talked into it.) Say the word and I will~!
THAT OR YOU CAN VISIT NC FOR A DAY my neighbor to the north ;D

The moment it got to the synth I automatically heard “OSSU! ORA GOKU!” in my head. FUCKING. DAMMIT.
That just means you’re doing it right, quite frankly. :v
Oh God. I remember this song. I never remembered much about where it was from but knowing that someone else remembered it just woah. Bravo. 80 Didn’t even know this was CLAMP.
I actually own both of the Tokyo Babylon OVAs! Got ‘em in a little bundle for $9 at last year’s con—an irresistible deal for some great early 90s CLAMP fluff. :D
>Southern Cross over Macross While I haven’t seen SC and I’ve only heard about how it basically kinda got cut short, this makes me intrigued. 8C
Yeah, it’s a fairly unorthodox opinion, even I’ll admit! XD I think Macross certainly wins for a stronger story, but like you said, SDCSC had a very rushed ending so who knows what actually could have been. I really love the characters and the character-driven drama, as well as some of the larger themes at play in the series.
Then again, I came into the originals through Robotech like a lot of American fans, and I actually didn’t dislike the Robotech Masters (or Minmei either so it looks like i was doin the robotech fan all wrong). :P
